Honestly was not expecting to post snow pictures at this point in your construction blog.

The brick guys were there all day–scaffolding is up and several rows of bricks have been laid along the foundation.

The painters have been working the past couple of days. Unfortunately, they’ve also installed the door from the garage into the house, and it is locked. I will have to get a key so I can keep checking on progress inside. I also saw Action trucks, so I think they’ve been working on installing your HVAC system.

The walls have texture!

The bricks have been delivered. Once the masons finish up work on the house around the corner, I assume they will begin putting up the front of yours.

The gas line was also run, from the street to a stub at the foundation along the right side of the house.

The pocket door on the half bath upstairs has been pulled out and reinstalled so that it opens on the correct side. Drywall will be repaired when the crew comes in later. To confirm, there are just three switches inside the bathroom, and a light switch was put inside the attic space when the access door was relocated to the opposite side of the bonus room.

The neighbor discovered an issue with the entry into the upstairs half bath during her morning walk-through. Not sure why it did not stand out to the rest of us…

Workers finished hanging the rest of the drywall yesterday. Todd is spending today cleaning up their mess and covering the subfloor with paper in preparation for the mudders next week.

So they don’t have to get on and off their stilts, the workers do all the high drywall work first–ceilings and top half of the walls.
