Dennis has been busy trimming out doors and windows.

He and Matt (his son) also helped Classique Kitchens set cabinets today in the kitchen and baths. (I neglected to take a picture of the guest bath–stay tuned.)
The master shower is all finished. There is a nice outward slope to the back cubby and the bench. The front cubby ended up just about level.
Wood floors have been installed. They are mostly covered and protected, but you can get a peek at them in the pantry and along the back wall of the kitchen where shelves/cabinets will be installed.
Masons are done. Not only did they finish the exterior brickwork above the front door, but they built the front porch stairs (well, mostly–not sure about that cubby hole), and installed the fireplace stone.
Not too much change around the house over the last few days, thanks to the Thanksgiving holiday. There has been some progress in the master bath–floor is complete and shower walls are coming along. The special little door to the attic storage space has been delivered. Wood flooring was dropped off today, and is stacked in the guest bedroom to acclimate before installation. The masons completed the brickwork above the garage door today.
On this afternoon’s walk-through, here’s what’s new…
You have tile floors going in. Laundry room and guest bath are complete. Master bath is still a work in progress, but they built your bench!
Brickwork on the exterior seems to be at a standstill around the garage…so close! No more progress inside on the fireplace, either.

You got your garage door opener.

Here’s what’s happening under the house…light and smoke detector are installed, and you can kinda see that your “finished” area is still clear so far.

Meanwhile, in the attic, you got some extra blown-in insulation this week.

And finally, your interior doors have arrived and are waiting to be installed.

Bryden and Buddy were busy while we were in OBX, installing most of your light fixtures. (Master bath, front hall, front porch, back porch fan, outdoor garage lights not installed.) Fluorescent lights are in the closets, but not pictured.
Dennis and Matt came by this afternoon and framed in your fireplace and put up the mantle so the stone can be laid as soon as the masons finish bricking the exterior.

Action has been busy under the house installing the HVAC unit. For the most part, duct work is out of the way of your “finished” crawl space area.
The whole interior has been painted. There are two buckets of paint in the house, “Maybe Mushroom” and “Steel Me,” but with no lights inside it is difficult to tell which rooms are which color.
The tiles guys have been in and put down the underlayment for all the tile floors.
