The driveway, sidewalk, and pads are completely done…forms are removed, control joints have been cut in. There is a small arrow on either side of the driveway which marks the location of a conduit that runs under the drive for future use (wiring, etc.).
In the crawl space, there is still moisture on the walls under the front bedroom. Even though gutters are on the house, the downspouts are draining straight down to the foundation. They won’t be hooked into the extension pipes that run out to the yard until the landscaping is done. The dehumidifier has been installed in the crawl space. The spaces between the floor joists have been insulated. White plastic you requested has been laid over the rock.
In addition to installing the dehumidifier, Action worked inside to install your thermostat. They put in the vent cover under the kitchen cabinet–unfortunately it is white. The large air return cover has been installed, and even though the screws are not flush as requested, the filter does come in and out without too much hassle. The air return cover in the master bedroom does not fit next to the trim around the bathroom door, so they’ve apparently gone back to the drawing board there. They have not done the air return in the guest bedroom.
The painters did some stuff this week, too–they painted the porch ceiling, sort of painted the back deck stairs, and didn’t paint the chimney.
In other miscellaneous news, Todd cleaned out your garage, the plumbers installed the faucet on the half bath sink, and the mailbox post was set.
The driveway is done…the countdown to closing is on!

Little by little, final details are coming together. That mysterious hole in the front steps has been filled.

The warped front door has been replaced with one that is smooth inside and out.

Interior door handles have been installed.

Yay, you got your backsplash! If the photographer had been thinking, she would have flipped back the cardboard so you could see the full effect with the countertop, too. She’ll go back later for a re-do.
The half bath is fixed. Now it just needs the backsplash pieces on the counter, door hardware, some faucets, and a mirror.
In other news, it was a little windy last night….
